2017 Poster for the Common Ground Country Fair

2017 Common Ground Country Fair Poster!

The 2017 Common Ground Country Fair poster was unveiled during the Maine Agricultural Trades Show in January. The poster features three Columbian Wyandotte chickens roosting. This uncommon variety is well suited to Maine's climate and is raised for both meat and egg production. Local artist Dwight Gagnon of Benton created the design, which is a delightful and fitting image for the 41st annual Common Ground Country Fair, September 22, 23 and 24.
The poster is now available online through our MOFGA Store.

Close to home: gardeners keep it in the family
Portland Press Herald - 8/19/2009.
By Amy Martin – Gardening isn't just in the ground. It's in the blood. Kay Doucette traces her gardening skills back to her mother. "My parents made us work in the garden, and I hated every minute of it, or so I thought," she said. Doucette tied for the first-place Green Thumb award with Jack Doherty last month. The Scarborough Garden Club hosted the annual contest, in which gardens are nominated and judged by a panel of club members.
