Organic and Sustainable Agriculture News
European capacity to grow food is plateauing, scientist warns
The Guardian [UK] - 7/8/2013.
By John Vidal - Countries may not be able to increase food production because many staple crops are close to their physiological growing limits.
Freedom’s Just Another Word for Organic
Organic Farming Research Foundation - 7/8/2013.

LePage vetos bill to beef up Maine chemical law
Portland Press Herald - 7/8/2013.
By Steve Mistler - Augusta: Gov. Paul LePage vetoed a bill Monday that would have bolstered a state program to phase out toxic chemicals in children's products. Advocates said they would return to the State House Tuesday to urge lawmakers to override the governor's decision. The focus will likely shift to Republican lawmakers who have helped sustain most of the governor's vetoes this session, even after initially voting to pass legislation.
