Legislator wants Maine to expand maple syrup industry
Bangor Daily News - 2/3/2011.
By Terry Karkos – Rumford: A local lawmaker wants Maine to tap into the unrealized potential for growing its maple syrup industry. State Rep. Grist - 2/3/2011.
By Lindsey Lusher Shute – USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack recently called for 100,000 new farmers – a recognition that the U.S. farm population is aging rapidly. To create a revitalized, sustainable, and socially just food system, we need to cultivate a new generation of farmers – and quickly.

New York Times - 2/2/2011.
By Mark Bittman – For decades, Americans believed that we had the world’s healthiest and safest diet.
