 Join us on Saturday, August 30 for a MOFGA Benefit Night at The Pickup Café & CSA!

The Pickup Café in Skowhegan offers delicious meals prepared with locally-sourced ingredients. They are proud to support more than 40 area farmers and food producers while serving you delectable meals including local meats, veggies, eggs, and more. A generous portion of the proceeds from this special evening will be donated to MOFGA.

BASKET OF MOFGA-CERTIFIED PRODUCE GIVEAWAY & RAFFLE

There will be a free giveaway of a basket of MOFGA-certified produce and a raffle for an organic care package full of MOFGA-certified products! All proceeds will be used to further MOFGA’s educational programs.

The Pickup Café is located at 42 Court Street in Skowhegan, open for dinner from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. For more information call 207 474-0708.

Carla makes pastry like this the way other people make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Carla and her mom, my friend Diane Ferris, used to run a bakery in the Finger Lakes region of New York State. So, where having to make pastry slows me right down, Carla and Diane whip it right out with alacrity.
