This was the first time the town held a winter farmer's market and manager Jessica Sheldon has been pleased with the response.

Bangor Metro - 2/28/2014. By Craig Idlebrook – One of the most successful maple syrup businesses in Aroostook County owes its origins to a nearly forgotten maple farm. Back in 1934, Bridgewater resident Ellie Sharp began tapping maple trees and constructed a maple sap evaporator, but his syruping operation petered out when he died a few years later. His evaporating equipment was left in the forest, and his maple farm was relegated to family lore.
