Processors/handlers already certified will receive packets in the mail a month before the update is due. However, if you are certified and are adding a component (e.g., processed products) or making significant changes to business, you should use the forms found on the application page.

Renewal procedure
Once you have received the renewal packets in the mail we ask you to carefully review and update the information provided. Renewal packets included forms with pre-entered information previously provided to us, forms that need to be filled out every year, and in some cases new forms. It also contains a 2008 Practice manual and a OMRI product list. Please be sure to look at all of the documents provided to you. All the forms need to be filled out and returned to us with your annual fee. Remember that processors must pay the additional $100 processor fee. Please make sure your forms are mailed and postmarked by the 29 August. If you mail your forms after the deadline, please include the appropriate late fee. Non- compliance notices may be issued to those operations that fail to file an update or surrender their certificates approximately 30 days after the deadline.

After MOFGA certification services receives the updated renewal packets, the paperwork will be reviewed and an inspector will be assigned. The inspector will contact you to discuss the appropriate date and time for the inspections. Inspection process may be delayed up to six months to comply with the requirement that the inspection be conducted when facilities, and activities that demonstrate compliance or capacity to comply can be observed.

If you have decided that you no longer want to be certified organic by MOFGA Certification Services, please contact us immediately and send in a " Surrender Certificate" form.
